When was the last time you treated yourself to a relaxing home spa experience? That’s the gift Kaelyn wants to give her customers…and she wants to make sure people with sensitive skin don’t miss out.
Today, we’re featuring rock star entrepreneur Kaelyn and her business, DBK Bath Bombs and Soaps. Kaelyn is 12 years old and is already a successful kid business owner with her MyFirstSale storefront page.
When asked about DBK’s origin story, Kaelyn says, “I started my business when I was 10 because the different bath bombs and soaps that I would get in stores would irritate my skin and give my skin a rash. So I decided to make my own bath bombs and soaps for other people with sensitive skin…and make them for myself as well.”
In order to make products that are healthy and safe for everyone, Kaelyn did lots of research to find the best all-natural ingredients to use for her beauty products. She uses essential oils to give her bath bombs different scents. Her favorite scent is lavender because it’s so soothing.
Kaelyn was featured on ABC7 News as part of Small Business Saturday in November. You can find her interview on her MyFirstSale storefront page.
Kaelyn’s bath bombs are sure to give you a truly relaxing experience. Kaelyn describes, “When you drop a DBK bath bomb in water, a burst of air comes up because of the citric acid and baking soda. This is a cool effect that makes your bath smell good and makes your skin feel good.”
When asked what she would say to other kids who want to start a business, Kaelyn shares, “You can do anything you want—and you can achieve your goals if you put your mind to it.”
DBK stands for Designs by Kaelyn. The shop sells fizzy pink bath bombs and lovely unicorn-shaped soaps, as well as luscious spa gift packs.
Kaelyn’s goal is to be a millionaire by the time she turns 14. Help her reach that goal by ordering her incredible products today.
